Vietnam Int'l Bank Launches Internet Money Transfer Services
HANOI, May 11 Asia Pulse - The Vietnam International Bank (VIB), in association with US-based XOOM, in May launched Internet services for the transfer of remittances by overseas Vietnamese to their relatives in the homeland.
Senders anywhere in the world need just a click onto http://www.xoom.com and follow the instructions.
Their relatives in Vietnam simply need to show their personal papers and necessary information from the senders to receive the money at any agent of the bank's network across the country.
Recipients will not have to pay any fee for the services. VIB guarantees convenient and safe services.
With the new services, VIB expects to meet an increasing demand for remittance transfer by large Vietnamese communities in the United States, France, Australia, the United Kingdom, Canada, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia and Taiwan.
In May, VIB increased its legal capital to VND325 billion from VND250 billion. VIB plans to increase its legal capital to over VND 400 billion by the end of this year. ADVERTISEMENT
VIB's US partner in this service is a major fast money transfer company operational in 19 countries.
